On January 23rd, 2020 North Shore Bank graciously donated $2,600 to the Peabody Education Foundation! The funds were raised during ‘Jeans Day’ at North Shore Bank in which employees are allowed to wear jeans to work each Friday by simply donating $5. At the end of each month, the funds are donated to a non-profit organization chosen by the staff.  North Shore Bank chose our Foundation to make their December donation. Once all the funds were raised, North Shore Bank took it a step further and matched the donations raised by the employees, totaling $2,600!

Jody Landry, Branch Manager of  of the North Shore Bank’s Washington Street branch in Peabody, mentioned that:

“The Children and Educators of Peabody experienced a devastating loss with the passing of Superintendent Cara Murtagh and Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Vice Principal Judith Maniatis…knowing how much the children of Peabody meant to each of these lades, it was a perfect opportunity to raise money through our December Jean’s Day program in their honor. Every student, every day, you are forever in our hearts.”

We are extremely grateful for North Shore Bank’s generous donation and are humbled to know that it was originally initiated by all of the staff at North Shore Bank!
